Litecoin Faces Sharp Decline, Down 10% on the Day

Litecoin experienced a significant drop on Sunday, falling by 10.03% to $92.548 as of 10:37 (15:37 GMT), marking its largest single-day percentage loss since August 5. This decline pushed Litecoin’s market capitalization down to $7.065 billion, representing just 0.22% of the total cryptocurrency market cap. At its peak, Litecoin’s market cap had reached $25.609 billion.

Over the past 24 hours, Litecoin has traded between $91.735 and $103.008, with a 24-hour trading volume of $1.671 billion, or 0.79% of the total cryptocurrency trading volume. Despite the recent downturn, Litecoin has seen a 5.99% increase in value over the past week, fluctuating between $81.6931 and $106.1303 during that period.

However, at its current price, Litecoin remains down by 77.96% from its all-time high of $420.00 set on December 12, 2017.

Other Major Cryptocurrencies’ Performance

In broader cryptocurrency trading, Bitcoin was last recorded at $96,310.9, reflecting a 2.19% loss on the day. Ethereum, meanwhile, was trading at $3,297.44, down 4.69%.

Bitcoin’s market capitalization stood at $1.917 trillion, or 58.51% of the total market, while Ethereum’s market cap was $399.564 billion, representing 12.19% of the cryptocurrency market’s total value.
