As artificial intelligence agents grow more sophisticated, the next breakthrough lies in giving them seamless access to blockchain-native insights. Lambda256—the blockchain technology subsidiary of Upbit—has taken a major step in that direction with the launch of Model Context Protocol (MCP), a new feature of its Web3 infrastructure platform, Nodit.
MCP is designed to provide structured, contextualized, real-time on-chain data directly to large language models (LLMs) such as ChatGPT and Claude. Unlike conventional Web3 APIs that deliver raw and often convoluted data, MCP transforms blockchain information into LLM-friendly formats. This allows AI agents to effortlessly interpret wallet activity, DeFi interactions, transaction history, and more with minimal prompt engineering.
The result is actionable, human-like comprehension of blockchain behavior. From balance snapshots to nuanced portfolio insights, Nodit MCP empowers AI systems to process and understand complex on-chain information, bridging the operational gap between Web3 infrastructure and AI cognition.
“MCP is about enabling AI to not just read the blockchain, but understand it,” said Rei Nam, Chief Technology Officer of Lambda256. “It’s especially powerful for AI developers and analysts building on-chain agents, smart dashboards, or LLM-integrated workflows. Our goal is to continue pushing Web3 infrastructure into the AI era.”
The MCP feature enhances Nodit’s already comprehensive suite of Web3 tools. Developers can now integrate blockchain cognition into applications ranging from intelligent chatbots to automated dashboards, agentic workflows, and even smart compliance systems. For instance, an AI agent can use MCP to summarize a wallet’s recent decentralized exchange (DEX) activity or NFT trading patterns within seconds—no manual indexing required.
MCP is compatible with all of Nodit’s Web3 Data APIs and Node APIs and supports a broad array of L1 and L2 networks including Ethereum, Aptos, Arbitrum, Optimism, Base, Avalanche, Polygon, Bitcoin, Dogecoin, Tron, and XRPL.
Beyond MCP, Nodit offers multi-chain node infrastructure, real-time data APIs, Webhooks, and gRPC stream services—positioning itself as a pivotal enabler at the convergence of AI and blockchain technology.
