Zodia Custody will provide yields on cryptocurrencies held by institutional clients

Standard Chartered’s cryptocurrency arm Zodia Custody will for the first time start offering yields on cryptocurrencies held by institutional clients.

Standard Chartered Bank announced today that it has partnered with OpenEden to connect managed crypto assets with real-world yield opportunities. The product will also provide tracking services for institutions.

Julian Sawyer, CEO of Zodia Custody, said in a statement that there is a lot in traditional finance that can be transferred to digital assets. The challenge is how to bring these benefits to the world in a safety, compliance and regulatory first way. Our first collaboration with OpenEden is exactly how we achieve this goal.
