Bitcoin a ‘super-logical’ step on technology tree, says OpenAI CEO

OpenAI CEO Sam Altman has called Bitcoin (BTC) a “super logical” step up the tech tree, one that is free of government control and helps fight corruption.

“I’m excited about Bitcoin,” Altman told Joe Rogan during an October 6 episode of The Joe Rogan Experience podcast.

“I think this idea of having a global currency that is outside the control of any government is a super logical and important step in the technological tree.”

The OpenAI boss’ wide-ranging interview with Rogan addressed his thoughts on Bitcoin as a global reserve currency and his concerns about central bank digital currencies (CBDCs).
