AI-driven crypto platform TrueNorth has raised $1 million in a strategic angel round to develop what it calls the first “agentic economy” for digital assets—an intelligence layer built to transform how users navigate crypto markets.
Founded by former WOO exchange COO Willy Chuang and ex-Temasek AI investor Dr. Alex Lee, TrueNorth leverages autonomous AI agents and real-time data to deliver hyper-personalized investment insights. The company is building a discovery engine that adapts to each user’s intent, portfolio, trading style, and behavior—moving them from decision to outcome with minimal friction.
Backed by a powerhouse group of crypto founders and AI-forward investors—including LayerZero’s Bryan Pellegrino, SEI’s Jeff Feng, Selini Capital’s Jordi Alexander, Virtuals, Plume, Presto Labs’ Yongjin, and Will Wang of Generative Ventures—TrueNorth is poised to reshape decision-making in digital finance.
Agentic Intelligence for Personalized Crypto Discovery
TrueNorth’s platform employs a continuous scanning system across blockchain networks, social media channels, macroeconomic trends, and project-specific signals. These autonomous agents identify high-signal, context-rich insights tailored to each user’s evolving needs.
“We see true AI agents becoming the foundation for how people invest in crypto,” said co-founders Chuang and Lee. “The market is only becoming more complex. Our goal is to simplify it through a personalized engine powered by a generative user interface (Gen UI) and reinforcement learning models that quietly drive decisions in the background.”
Chuang, who previously led operations at WOO—a hybrid CeFi/DeFi exchange—stressed the increasing burden on traders. “I’ve seen how fragmented data and constant noise impair decision-making. TrueNorth cuts through that noise, helping users move faster with more clarity and confidence.”
Lee, an AI PhD and former deep-tech investor at Temasek, emphasized that AI is now capable of more than data parsing. “We’re at the point where AI can understand user context, adapt, and continuously improve. That’s the intelligence layer we’re building—agentic systems that surface only what truly matters.”
Early Access and Roadmap
Operating under Singapore-based Advent AI, TrueNorth is currently in closed beta with a curated group of 500 early users—dubbed “Truthsayers”—who are helping fine-tune the platform’s agentic workflows. The startup plans to reveal details of its core architecture and agentic framework in the coming weeks as it prepares for a public launch.
Backers of TrueNorth share a common vision: that AI, when embedded into infrastructure and discovery layers, has the power to streamline and personalize the increasingly complex world of decentralized finance. Their support reflects growing momentum for next-generation platforms that go beyond tools—and act as intelligent, adaptive partners in trading.
